Texas Pharmacist Allegedly Sold Drugs From Her Home

A pharmacist in north Texas has been accused of selling prescription medication from her house after her business closed down.

Esther Chinedozi Amaka of Arlington is charged with distributing controlled substances. Her home was raided last month by Dallas-area investigators.

Amaka was put in jail on Feb. 19 and released the next day on $50,000 bond. She was charged after state regulators noticed that narcotics were missing from her Denton pharmacy that closed in 2012. The Texas State Board of Pharmacy has suspended her license. Amaka says that she did not intentionally break the law.
