Two Charged in Miami Child Prostitution Case

A man and woman in Miami have been charged with human trafficking and forcing a 13-year-old to engage in prostitution.

Daron Eugene Sneed, 26, and Melquince T. Macklin, 20, were incarcerated on Thursday.

According to police, Sneed met the teenager last year while she was waiting at a bus stop. The girl eventually ran away from home and started to sell her body after she developed a romantic relationship with Sneed. She allegedly had sexual encounters with over 30 men and shared half of the profits with her boyfriend.

Both Sneed and Macklin monitored the girl’s trysts and compelled her to work. Sneed is being held without bond, while Macklin’s bond was set at $2,023,500.
