Rep for Hacker Group Charged With Identity Theft

A Texas man who describes himself as a representative of the hacker group Anonymous is facing new accusations of illegal online activity.

Barrett Brown, 31, was charged with multiple counts of aggravated identity theft and device fraud last week. He allegedly publicized a hyperlink that contained thousands of credit card numbers. Brown was previously accused of making online threats against a FBI agent.

Anonymous is an international organization for computer hackers that prides itself in fighting against the so-called greed and corruption of online businesses.
