Ron Paul’s Grandson Accused of Underage Drinking

The 19-year-old grandson of former Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul was arrested and charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct over the weekend.

William Hilton Paul was handcuffed at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina. He had been on a flight from Kentucky.

It is unclear whether Paul  was drinking on the airplane or at the airport, but a spokesperson for the airline said that the teen was not given any alcohol while onboard.

Paul faces three misdemeanor offenses: disorderly conduct, being intoxicated and disruptive and consumption of alcohol by a minor. He is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.

Paul is also the son of Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky.
