Two men were taken into police custody last week after deputies discovered approximately 100 grams of methamphetamine and a stolen firearm in the vehicle they were traveling in.
Dylan Powers, 20, and Joe Lopez, 25,were traveling northbound on Interstate 45 at about 10 a.m. last Monday when they were stopped by police in Montgomery County. The officers came across the illegal substance and the 9mm pistol when they were conducting a search. It was later determined that the gun did not belong to either men.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has not revealed why the car was pulled over.
