Officer Finds Over $1.7M in Drugs While Helping Disabled Motorist

One of Houston’s biggest drug busts ever happened Wednesday when an officer stopped to help a broken down car.

According to police, there was a broken down white mustang on the northwest freeway when an officer stopped to assist. While the officer was calling a tow truck the driver of the mustang took off.

The policeman became suspicious and began to search the car.  He noticed the back bench was loose and upon removing it found 17 kilos of heroin and15 kilos of meth.

Police say that the street value of this amount was more than $1.7 million.
