Law enforcement officers in Harris County are in pursuit of a man who allegedly punched a woman in the face for not returning his telephone calls.
Derek Lawayne Manning is accused of assault on a family member. On July 16, Manning was sitting in a car with the 34-year-old victim in northwest Harris County when they started to argue about his unanswered calls to her.
According to the Houston Police Department, Manning hit the woman several times and fractured her jaw. Anyone who has information that could lead to his arrest are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
