A 20-year-old Missouri man was arrested on Friday for allegedly plotting a mass shooting at a screening of the new Twilight movie.
Blaec Lammers’ mother contacted police and told them that her son had purchased firearms that resemble those used by a gunman in an Aurora, Colo. theater shooting in July that killed 12 people and injured 57 others.
When the suspect was taken into custody and interrogated about his actions, he confessed that he had planned to shoot up a movie theater on Sunday. He also revealed his intentions to hurt shoppers at a local Walmart.
Lammers’ bail was set at $500,000. He has been charged with first-degree assault, making a terroristic threat and armed criminal action.
