A teenager was taken into custody after he allegedly assaulted a police officer at a sporting goods store in Fort Bend County on Monday morning.
The officers at the scene said a 14-year-old boy who was accused of shoplifting confronted workers and waved a knife at them. He also supposedly flaunted the knife at an officer as he tried to escape. When he was told to drop his weapon, the boy launched the blade at the officer. He was arrested and taken to a juvenile detention facility.
The teen, whose identity has not been revealed, is accused of aggravated robbery and aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer.
