The police are in pursuit of a man who robbed a store on the University of Houston campus on Monday morning.
At around 9:15, the suspect stole $250 from a convenience store at the Calhoun Lofts, a student dormitory. Campus police say the thief did not reveal a gun; he had his hand in his pocket and made it seem like he would pull out a firearm at any moment.
In recent weeks, UH has heightened security in response to an increase in the number of campus robberies.
The robbery suspect is a person of interest in a carjacking that also occurred on Monday morning. Police have already arrested two suspects, but a third is still on the run.
