Kingwood Teen Arrested for Menacing Graffiti at School

A Kingwood High School student was charged with felony graffiti on Wednesday for writing messages that many people deemed as threatening.

Derick Richard Motelongo, 18, remains in jail. His bond was set at $250,000. Last week, he sketched a picture of a gun in a restroom at the school. The gun was pointed at a stick figure with the name ‘Officer West.’ A message on the wall mentioned killing the officer and shooting everyone at 3:07. If Montelongo is freed before his trial begins, he would be required to wear a GPS monitoring device. He would also be restricted from contacting the police officer he threatened.

Another student at the high school was arrested on similar charges two days later.
