A Galveston man receives 27 months in a federal prison for hacking into Texas and Alabama Department of Public Safety along with several other government computers.
According to court documents, Higinio O. Ochoa III hacked into the computers and defaced websites, deleted data and downloaded confidential information.
Ochoa was ordered to pay over $14,000 in restitution along with the jail time when he pleaded guilty in June to hacking into protected computers.
