Man Gets 80 Years for Ninth DWI

A Tarrant County Jury sentenced Miguel Medrano to 80 years in prison for his 9th DWI conviction.

According to court documents, Medrano’s arrest happened on Super Bowl Sunday in 2010 when he was arguing with a maintenance worker outside his office building.

When police were called to the scene, they saw Medrano drive his 2004 Dodge Viper onto a curb. Medrano failed the field sobriety tests and he tested approximately 3 times over the legal limit during a blood draw.

Medrano must face at least 15 years before he will be eligible for parole.
